Isabel Barreras has lived in Madera for over 40 years and has served her community with gratitude. Isabel is married, has two children and a beautiful grand daughter. She is a Program Manager with the California Hispanic Chambers of Commerce. Barreras is an elected member of the State Center Community College District and during her tenure she has served as president, vice president and secretary, Barreras is recognized throughout the state for her leadership in the California Community College System. Isabel is Past President of the California Community College Trustee Association. In addition, Barreras is an appointed member by Governor Brown to the Madera District Fair Board of Directors (21-A District Agricultural Association) where she serves as President. Isabel serves on numerous community-based and civic organizations. Barreras is an alumna of Reedley College and she now serves as a mentor in the Fresno City College Puente Program. She is a graduate of California State University, Fresno with a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies and earned her Masters in Public Administration from National University.
