I want to represent all Moragans who love our small town and who, like me, want to protect and enhance what makes it so special:

  • A semi-rural setting that includes beautiful ridgelines, open spaces, and natural areas.

  • Great schools where small class sizes allow our kids to get the attention they need to reach their full potential, and the space to continue our important enrichment programs.

  • A safe town where police, fire, and emergency resources are smartly applied.

  • A robust community life where people of all ages have opportunities to socialize, explore their interests, engage in sports, play, and meet new people.

If elected, I will work to:

  • Enact stronger policies and close existing loopholes to better protect Moraga's scenic ridgelines, hillsides and natural areas from overdevelopment.

  • Require that any new development in downtown areas preserves the character of our scenic corridors and is compatible with existing neighborhoods.

  • Manage overall growth to avoid overwhelming our schools, roads, and Town services.

  • Find innovative ways to support our businesses and increase local spending, and revive the Specific Plan process to create a vision and strategy for enhancing the Rheem Park Shopping Center.

  • Collaborate with the Moraga School District, Acalanes School District, and Saint Mary's College to make existing athletic fields more accessible to Moraga's youth programs and maximize their community benefits.

  • Adopt only balanced Town budgets and stick to the promise that all Measure K monies be used only for road and storm-drain repairs.

  • Seek more input from residents on key issues and respond with meaningful actions. I believe that public input and community values are critical to responsible Town Council decision-making.
