Occupation: Concord Vice Mayor, Interim Northgate High School Principal, Former Concord Mayor, Former American High School Principal, Former Concord Planning Commissioner, former Chairman of the Board John Muir Hospital and Mt. Diablo Hospital and Former Teacher (1995 Teacher of the Year) with a Bachelor's Degree from San Francisco State University and a Master's Degree from St. Mary's CollegeServing you on the Concord City Council, and as a longtime high school teacher and principal, has been extremely gratifying. Balancing the city budget every year with $22 million in reserves for emergencies has been my primary focus. Our employees pay their full share; this year we voted to eliminate lifetime medical for Councilmembers. Because we efficiently manage your tax dollars, Concord is the most financially sound large city in Contra Costa County. This strong fiscal management has allowed us to fund the following key programs:
