As a young child I attended Corvallis and Arroyo High Schools in the San Lorenzo Unified School District. Now, my three children attend Corvallis, Washington Manor, and Arroyo High School. My day job is fulfilling the role as a Senior level Director of Parent Services, supporting the work of managers at Children's Council in San Francisco, a non-profit organization that provides parenting and child care support to families. For the past 14 years I've advocated for the child care needs of children and families at a local, state, and federal level. I sit on a board of directors for a statewide non-profit organization. As the daughter of Mexican immigrants, I am proud to share that I hold a BA in Social Welfare from UC Berkeley, and a Masters of Arts in Educational Leadership from Mills College.
My key virtue is being able to genuinely engage our community and listen to their needs, and act accordingly. My passion and life work has been to provide children with a quality education and I will bring that experience and passion to the board and be a voice for our children/students.
