1. What do you see as the role of a school board trustee?
An NUSD trustee works with fellow board members to see to it that school management, policy and vision are in alignment. A trustee adopts budgets, hires and holds accountable the superintendent to the responsibility of managing the school district the proper way, and takes unified action on matters of stakeholder concern. A trustee also serves as the critical link to you, the voter, and the school system.
