Candidate for Director; Castro Valley Sanitary District

This information is provided by the candidate
I have the knowledge and experience to address our waste-water and solid waste needs.
I have served our community for the last 14 years as a Sanitary District Board Member, which includes two terms as President of the Board. I have over 40 years of experience as a Professional Engineer specializing in Public Works, with the latter part of my career as an Engineering Manager.

My family and I have lived in Castro Valley for over 35 years. My wife, Sherry, is retired from the Castro valley Unified School District and both our daughters graduated from Castro valley High.

I am the President of the Alameda County Library Foundation. The Foundation has just completed a $3 million capital campaign for the new Castro Valley Library. I sit on the joint committee with the Oro Loma Sanitary District that has oversight of our waste-water treatment plant in San Lorenzo. I am a Local Agency Formation Commission and East Bay Discharger Association Commissioner.

I have the knowledge and experience to address our waste-water and solid waste needs. I have a passion for public service and have the proven tools to assist the District in preserving and enhancing our investment in the sewage and solid waste systems.
