Collaboration is, at its root, a social activity. It is a skill set that is based on generosity, sharing and openness.
Collaboration is the glue that will hold the City of Oakland together, move it forward, and position it for success and prosperity.

Collaboration demands that we recognize that the whole (Oakland) is greater the sum of its parts (each District).

The Oakland of our future can't be served by the City Council of our past. That City Council has not demonstrated the ability to COLLABORATE.
