Councilman Kevin Hart is a longtime Dublin resident, law enforcement commander, neighborhood advocate and environmental steward; Kevin has a track record of listening to the people of Dublin and understanding how our city must constantly strive to lead the nation as the best place to live and work in America.

Councilman Kevin Hart has a firsthand understanding of what it takes to make Dublin a business-friendly city. Kevin's experience in working with local business and acumen has been important in shaping his leadership style as a competent and efficient consensus builder.

Coupled with law enforcement and business experience, Kevin has experience serving our city as an elected official. Kevin Hart was first elected to Dublin School board in 1996. Kevin was reelected in 2000 and served for a total of eight years overseeing the expansion and development of schools. Kevin Hart was first elected to the Dublin City Council in 2008 and again in 2012. Kevin Hart served as the Dublin's Vice Mayor from 2010-2012.

During his 6 years on the city council, Kevin has maintained a strong focus on enhancing Dublin's long-term planning goals. Kevin is excited to help lead the effort to finalize Dublin's development , which, coupled with Dublin's comprehensive General Plan, will collectively frame how our city evaluates numerous issues including land use, transportation, environmental protection, economic development, housing options, and more.

Councilman Hart believes we need to manage growth in a " thoughtful, comprehensive way and we must continue to improve our roads, provide more transportation choices, and work closely with neighboring cities and towns to plan for our future growth in order to solve our transportation challenges."

Growing up in Tri Valley, Kevin has a strong desire to build and maintain vibrant, safe, and healthy neighborhoods. Kevin strong commitment to keep and improve our quality of life and property values high, we need safe, walkable communities with greenways, parks, and gathering places that is useable amenities.

Kevin Hart is committed to making government more efficient in today's economy and "I also believe we must cut through the red tape of the development process, examine all of our city departments for redundancy. In today's economy -- when families are worried about the future, cutting wasteful spending and keeping our taxes low are top priorities." Kevin Hart will continue to work hard to cut spending where needed and address tough budget challenges.

Kevin is excited by the opportunity to assure Dublin remains the best place to live, work and raise a family in the nation. Kevin Hart understands that as Dublin continues to grow and attract new jobs; our city must balance ALL of the elements that make us great.
