GENERAL

- The City passed a fully balanced 2014-2015 Fiscal Year budget without the use of any reserves.
- Moved forwarded on the Emerald Glen Aquatic Center.
- Used various economic incentives to bring vibrant commercial growth to town which will
provide long term stability and benefit.
- Actively worked active regional economic development efforts and partners such as iGate,
Innovation Tri-Valley, and Visit Tri-Valley to grow technology entrepreneurship in Dublin.
TRANSPORTATION AND INFRASTRUCTURE
- Dublin Blvd. Improvements (Sierra ct. to Dublin Ct.) + Measure B dependent.
- Bikeways Master Plan Update, including a new Pedestrian component + should be heard by
the City Council in late Summer 2014.
- Golden Gate Drive Streetscape Enhancement Project received "Project of the Year Award for Small Cities" from the American Public Works Association Northern CA Chapter.
- City was recognized as having Alameda County's highest pavement condition index by the Metropolitan Transportation Commission Regional Streets and Rads Program for achievement in pavement maintenance.
PARKS, RECREATION AND CULTURAL ARTS

- Emerald Glen Recreation & Aquatics Complex + Phase 1- will go to bid by year's end with possible construction start in the first quarter of 2015 and a facility opening in Summer of 2016. Phase I includes a 31,940 square-foot facility with a fitness center featuring cardiovascular exercise equipment; an indoor pool for lessons, fitness classes, and lap swimming; an outdoor competitive pool for water polo and swimming, that features a climbing wall over the water; a playground pool, and a slide tower with high speed slides and loop slides. The project also includes multi-purpose room, birthday party rental room, a picnic area, and an amphitheater.
- Fallon Sports Park + Expected construction start on the Lower Terrace- of a 60-acre community park in the first quarter of 2015 with a summer 2016 opening. This phase will encompass the lower-terrace of the park and include the following amenities:
o 90-foot lighted baseball field
o Two lighted synthetic turf soccer fields.
o Adventure Playground
o Group Picnic Area
o Restroom/Concession Building o Parking and Walkways
* Acquired land and developed the Master Plan for the Iron Horse Nature Park and Open Space.
- Celebrated the Dublin Library's 100th Anniversary with an exhibit at the Dublin Heritage Park and Museums titled, "A Century of Service: A Visual History of the Dublin Library."
- Expanded hours at the Dublin Library + added 2 hours per week in the FY 2014-15 budget.
- Future Library Space Expansion + Center for 21st Century Skills and Learning. Will build- out some existing unused space.
- Expanded exhibits and events at Dublin Heritage Park and Museums.
- Dublin Cemetery Expansion Project - This project would provide for the renovation of the
Pioneer Cemetery and the construction of a new cemetery area adjacent to the Dublin Heritage Park. The project would include the acquisition from the Dublin Historical Preservation Association of an approximate 0.9-acre parcel south of the existing Pioneer Cemetery. The project, at build-out, could provide for an additional 115 plots for in-ground burials and 2,100 columbarium niches for cremains, and a bridge over the creek for pedestrian access to the expanded cemetery. Improvements would also be made to the existing cemetery site and landscape.
GREEN AND ENVIRONMENTAL EFFORTS

- Adopted an Energy Conservation and Generation Element.
- Developing Water Conservation Management Element.
- Approved a Tobacco Retailer Ordinance.
- Produced a long-term Trash Reduction Plan, designed to reduce the amount of litter by 70%
within the City's storm drains, creeks, and waterways by the end of 2017.
- Coordinated the 30th Annual "Dublin Pride Week" festivities, including Volunteer Day, a Water-wise Workshop, a food drive, and a household hazardous waste collection event.
- Converted eight street median irrigation systems to recycled water.
- Developed the Street Tree Ordinance.
- Managed and expanded a recycling contest within the Dublin Unified School District to
include all elementary and middle schools.
- Completed the Energy Action Plan Project.
* Coordinated Annual "Creek Clean-Up" Event.
- Completed Citywide streetlight LED conversion.
HEALTHY COMMUNITY
SAFE COMMUNITY

- The Dublin Farmers' Markets continues to grow with City-supported programming
- Coordinated the "Live Healthy Dublin: Step 2 It Challenge" with over 350 participants
- Received an "A" Grade from the American Lung Association (for non-smoking programs
* 40% reduction in crimes against persons from March 31, 2013 to March 31, 2014.
- 12% reduction in property crime.
- Participated in the 2013 National Night Out event, along with over 1,500 residents in 26
neighborhoods.
- Hosted 10 bicycle rodeos and 15 safety seminars throughout Dublin.
- Facilitated both a Citizens Academy and a Youth Academy for community participants.
