I believe "Education is the Great Equalizer in Life"...All students deserve a fair and equitable education to fulfill their potential. The focus of education is the "student".
I believe "Education is the Great Equalizer in Life". In my first term as a Trustee, I have proven my Leadership skills and abilities to understand and address the challenges of the Hayward Unified School District. My tenure has been highlighted by: positive certification, rising test scores and graduation rates, stable enrollment, increased pre-school numbers, re-instatement of the Arts & the GATE Program, increased after school and summer programs, improved employee relations, a new Superintendent, and a re-organization at District level to best address the needs of all our students. As HUSD moves forward with Common Core, LCFF, and Lcap, I would like to continue to be an active part of moving the District towards increased excellence and stability to prepare, motivate, and challenge our students. I am a civically active parent who believes in public education and parental involvement. I am the proud parents of two Hayward High School graduates whom have successfully transitioned to college and careers. All students should have the same opportunities as my children All students deserve a fair and equitable education to fulfill their potential. The focus of education is the "student".
