"Proudly an educator by training", Jeff was the elected president of the Pleasanton Unified School District Board of Education in 2012.

Elected in 2010, Jeff has led his school board's efforts to `right the ship' after devastating cuts from the state and federal governments + working tirelessly to reduce class sizes, balance budgets and restore important programs for arts, music and reading.

Jeff grew up in Pleasanton has has lived here for over 43 years. He is also a proud 4th generation Alameda County resident+ and is seeking to improve education in Pleasanton schools.

Jeff has dedicated his life and work to improving community. He's worked for 14 years as a credentialed teacher and administrator at the school, district and county levels.

From president of his neighborhood's little league, the PTA + and now the school board + Jeff is committed to public service and improving the lives of our children.

Professionally, Jeff has also worked for over 15 years to bring our region's public schools into the 21st century by making sure that school districts have cutting-edge technology to help students succeed.

Jeff is the first in his family to go to college + he has a degree in biochemistry from the University of California, Davis and a master's degree in educational leadership from the California State University, Hayward. He has also completed his administrative credential from the California School Leadership Academy.

Jeff and his wife Patty, a classroom teacher, are the proud parents of two grown children, who both attended Pleasanton schools in Pleasanton.
