|
Dublin is a progressive City. We need to continue that progress. Don Biddle has the experience, the skills, the vision and the commitment to the community to continue to be an effective Dublin Councilmember. Together, we can continue to build a strong, vibrant, progressive Dublin. DON's PRIORITIES: Maintain Dublin's high standards of Public Safety. Attract new business, retain and expand current businesses that will provide employment and services for Dublin residents as well as revenue for City services. Keep City budget balanced by prioritizing important public services with available resources. Assure high quality commercial and residential growth that is balanced, sustainable, well managed and appropriate for our community. Utilize Green building standards with development. Plan growth with safe and pedestrian oriented neighborhoods that includes parks, open space and recreation opportuities for Dublin residents. Revitalize Dublin Downtown. Continue development of our Heritage Center. Continue to improve City services and communication with the community. IN THE PAST FEW YEARS DUBLIN HAS ACCOMPLISHED MUCH: We have maintained a strong financial position even with the economic downturn. We have developed Economic Incentive Programs to encourage business development in Dublin. We have opened Shannon Community Center, Fallon Sports Park Phase I (now designing Phase II for bid later this year), the Dublin Hills Regional Park with East Bay Parks District and Schaefer Ranch, Positano Hills and Passatempo Neighborhood Parks. Now designing Emerald Glen Aquatic/Recreation Center for bid later this year Dublin received the 2011 All-American City Award. We have opened the I-580/Falllon Road Interchange and opened Dublin Boulevard all the way to Fallon Road. Rebuilt Arroyo Vista - now Emerald Vista, an award winning affordable housing project. We have improved the City's website and communications with the community. We continue the partnership between the City of Dublin and Dublin Unified School District. |
