1. As the mayor, what would you do, if anything, about improving city services for the homeless?? Give two examples of services that you feel need to be improved.
|
Answer from Dan Dillman:
We need to continue supporting and improving the resources and funding we give to our local non profit community partners who are at the forefront of helping our homeless and low income families. I want to create several community gardens in the city, where we can grow free organic fruits and vegtables and share them with all, including low income seniors, families and non profits who feed the poor, less fortunate and those who need temporary assistance. I have many other great ideas to share when I am elected Mayor of San Leandro

2. What is your long-term plan to assure that your jurisdiction has enough money to meet operating needs and service demands?
|
Answer from Dan Dillman:
I have solid plans to fund public safety and other services without excessive taxation. I will reduce wasteful spending, improve staff efficiency. We will attract and grow our business community, We will use out of the box creative solutions to pay off our unfunded liabilities, grow our general fund and we will deliver a balanced budget.
