California has consistently been ranked one of the worst states in the nation to live in when it comes to taxes.
Families (and individuals) have been struggling. The economic climate in California has not improved, with unemployment hovering near 10%. While much of the country has seen a modest recovery, California has not. What's worse, is the tax policies have become so penalizing, both individuals and corporations are incentivized to relocate, rather than remain here in the state. Tesla is the most recent company to begin searching to expand their operations, but again, out of state. This has to stop, if California is to recover its "Golden" state.
