Candidate for
Controller; County of San Mateo

The County Controller acts as the fiscal auditor for county government, special districts and school districts throughout San Mateo County. The office ensures fiscal accountability, transparency and efficiency for the taxpayers, businesses and residents of our County. Experience matters!

I am a Certified Public Accountant and have owned and managed my local Accounting Firm for over 30 years. Our clients range from homeowners, small businesses and non-profits to million dollar corporations.

Additionally, I served on the Burlingame City Council for 8 years including 2 years as Mayor. My fiscal experience helped Burlingame build their economic reserves, enact new budgeting methods that projected revenues and expenses for future years to make appropriate financial plans, and successfully merged the fire departments of Burlingame and Hillsborough in order to increase efficiency and save funds.

I have lived in San Mateo County my entire life. I was educated here and my wife and I raised our 5 children here.

I believe the public has the right to full disclosure and timely information on where their tax dollars are being spent. I have the experience to effectively manage this critical department and keep your interests at the forefront.
