Coroner; County of San Mateo

First off I'd like to thank you for taking the time and your interest in reading my political philosophy.

I believe in democracy. I do not believe that an incumbant is "entitled" to win an election just because they are the current incumbant. Leadership stagnation is the root cause of organizational failure and due to a flaw in human nature, we are all born with an inherent resistance to change.

As a small business owner on the Peninsula, if I were not articulative and open to new ideas, I would not be in business today. The most successful corporations change leadership periodically and inspiration and direction are typically the end result.

I would like to have the opportunity to bring this ideal to the San Mateo County Coroner's Office. For those of you who were not aware of this, the Coroner's Office is a revenue generating organization or should I say "business". The annual revenue generated from the procedures and processing offsets the overall annual budget for the Office. No doubt, as with any business involving revenue exchange, fresh ideas and approaches will benefit the bottom line.

I have the skills to lead the San Mateo County Coroner's Office and it's staff. I would strive for employee retention, workplace and crimescene safety and education, exploring new opportunities within the office to expand revenue income, and serve the county community with the dignity and respect our citizens would expect.
