Janell Freeman Somera is an attorney with the Somera Law Group in Stockton, CA. She received her Bachelor's Degree in Speech and Organizational Communication from San Francisco State University and her Juris Doctorate degree from Lawrence Drivon School of Law.

While attending law school, Janell worked as a Business Development Director at a private equity investment firm with multi-million dollar assets in real estate and retail development. She also interned at the San Joaquin County District Attorney's Office under the guidance of Tori Verber Salazar.

Janell comes from a family of educators. Her mother is a teacher, her grandmother worked as a public education administrator for over 30 years, her mother-in -law is an instructor at San Joaquin Delta College and her husband is a law school professor.
