BACKGROUND Graduate of the Thomas Jefferson School of Law 1977; Deputy District Attorney 1978 through 1985, handled over 300 prosecutions, homicides, sex-crimes, robbery, major violators, fraud and arson.

Appointed to the San Diego Municipal Court Bench, starting July 1985, sitting in a felony criminal assignment. Elevated to the San Diego Superior Court Bench, August 1989. Assignments: San Diego Juvenile Court, handling delinquency and dependency matters, 1989-92. Supervising Judge of the Criminal Division/Vista Superior Court; 1993.-1994 Supervising Judge Criminal and Civil Law and Motion/Vista Superior Court, 1994-1996. Supervising Probate/Mental Health Judge /Vista Superior Court 1996-1997. Supervising CEQA and IC Civil Judge 1997- Dec. 2008. Family Law Central Division. Jan. 2009-Dec 2011. General assignment covering Civil, Criminal and Family since Jan 2012.

Past President and Past Vice-President San Diego Humane Society (1982-1985); Past President San Diego Deputy District Attorneys Association. Six times elected member of the San Diego Superior Court Executive Committee. Former member of the Executive Board of the California Judges Association and a past Treasurer/Secretary for CJA.
