County Clerk-Recorder; County of Butte

It is a privilege to serve as your County Clerk-Recorder and Chief Elections Official.

Protection of your voting rights and access to property records is of utmost importance to me. It is vitally important that official records are open, accessible and preserved for future generations and that elections are conducted with integrity.

I have directed multiple projects to increase public access in the Recorders' Division. Over 3.65 million pages of recorded documents have been digitized and reviewed to remove social security numbers; 227,705 birth, death and marriage records have been converted to an image. All remaining microfilm of documents and indices from 1850 is being converted for easier public access.

As the Chief Elections Official for Butte County, I conduct all federal, state and local elections. I am committed to ensure that all voters have equal access to voting, confidence in the system and vote with the knowledge that every vote will be counted accurately.

I am immensely proud to lead talented people, who through their hard work have made this department one of the most innovative and technologically advanced.
