League Question: You Are in the Midst of an Expensive Election Campaign. What Are Your Thoughts on Campaign Finance Reform?By Brad KoplinskiCandidate for Lieutenant Governor; Democratic Party | |

While candidates need to let the public know about their candidacies, the Citizens United and McCutcheon Supreme Court decisions have turned campaigns into an auction with the winner going to the highest bidder. I believe that good ideas and good people can overcome money, but we need comprehensive campaign finance reform in Pennsylvania and nationwide. At the least, we need individual limits, get corporations out of politics, and allow for free television advertisements for candidates. |
