I hope to join the Narberth Borough Council to help continue the excellent work the Council has been doing on behalf of our community. Narberth is a town with unique density and walkability, and our residents are highly engaged and increasingly progressive. We have the opportunity over the next few years to put policies in place to enable those great aspects of our community to be self-sustaining. I believe I can be helpful to our town in a few specific ways:
- Applying my professional experience of budget oversight and long-term capital planning to the Borough's finances;
- Leveraging certain specific knowledge and skills I've acquired through my work as a cleantech investor (including regarding energy efficiency and parking technology and policy) for the benefit of the Borough's residents, visitors, and businesses;
- Helping to build partnerships between Borough government, Narberth's active business and civic communities, and our neighbors on the Lower Merion Board of Commissioners and the School Board so that where it makes sense to do so we can take a coordinated, efficient approach to problems like adaptive reuse, parking, pedestrian and bike accessibility, and traffic and transit infrastructure; and
- Helping to reform our zoning and parking policies and other Borough laws and codes to support the continued growth and development of a vibrant, diverse, dense, walkable, accessible town.
