Montgomery County, PA | November 5, 2013 Election |
Proactive, Transparency and NostalgiaBy Jimmy DiPlacidoCandidate for Commissioner; Township of Abington; Ward 4 | |
This information is provided by the candidate |
Voters desire someone who is accessible, trustworthy, knows their streets and some of the same people they know. They seek someone who appreciates the history of the community, someone who gets involved, is dedicated, has foresight and is proactive. They want the confidence that their voice is heard and that votes that are cast are a true representation of them. But most importantly, they want someone to listen.Proactive + Listening and shaping ideas and solutions voiced by our community regarding issues that impact our Township. Not settling for temporary fixes or "band-aids". Not waiting for problems to arise. Communication + Keeping the community informed of important issues and happenings that impact our Township. Utilize social media and internet resources, a telephone, mail services and good old "door-knocking". Dedicated + Knowing and appreciating why this Township is continually recognized nationally as an award winning community. Ensuring laws and codes are current and have the ability not only to preserve our history but allow us to evolve. I believe I can provide the "ear" and the "voice" and the amount of energy, determination and transparency required and would be honored to represent our Ward in Abington Township. |
