Community-focused Experience and LeadershipIn the months leading up to the May 21st Primary election, it was a privilege and a pleasure to meet and talk to so many of my friends and neighbors. It confirmed my belief that we live in a very special community. I am more convinced than ever that I can serve the citizens of Media, Swarthmore and Nether Providence in the way they expect and deserve. For the past 18 years, Judge Stephanie Klein has run a well-respected and community-centered court. My extensive community service background + including two terms on Media Borough Council and leadership roles in numerous community organizations, including the Media Arts Council, the Pennsylvania Veterans Museum, the Media Theatre for the Performing Arts the School in Rose Valley and my children's schools + as well as my 19 years of practical legal experience make me the best candidate to continue in her tradition. I presently operate as a sole practitioner in the Law Office of Deborah A. Krull, located in Media. During my career I have handled a busy caseload, representing clients on a variety of matters including employment law, condominium and homeowner association law, landlord tenant law, zoning law, small business litigation matters, construction defect disputes, collection matters, and criminal matters. My background also includes working as in-house counsel for the Hotel and Restaurant Employees Union, Local 274 and I have extensive experience handling wage and hour, discrimination and other employment issues. As your next Magisterial District Judge, I will be an involved partner in the process of improving our court system as a whole. I do not believe it is enough to simply show up and decide cases. In and out of the courtroom, I will be working for the community. Just as importantly, my campaign has prepared me to respect and listen closely to many points of view. This is not something to be lost after the campaign is over. If elected to Magisterial District Judge, I will continue to listen closely. I believe that I am the best-qualified candidate and would appreciate your vote. Please vote for me on Election Day, NOVEMBER 5, 2013. |
