School Director; Garnet Valley School District; 4 Year Term

The following are key areas of focus and continued goals if re-elected to the Garnet Valley School Board:

Education Excellence: We will continue to provide a superior education, one that meets the unique needs of each student. This is nothing less than our students, parents and taxpayers expect. We must be accountable, whether we are measuring student achievement, school performance, school safety or graduation rates. We must continue to inform the community of our goals and how our results measure up to these goals.

Transparency: With a current budget of $87 million we must continue to be accountable for every taxpayer dollar we spend. As a business professional with 25 years of leadership experience in successful companies, I've learned that to have true accountability, you must also have transparency. I believe that our performance measures whether they are student outcomes or financial performance, must be open and accessible to all of our stakeholders.

Community Engagement: The Garnet Valley community has grown and changed significantly during the 15 years I have lived here. The school board continues to emphasize community involvement in critical decisions involving our students, e.g. Hiring a district superintendent, implementing new school safety measures. I want all parents to be confident that their students' needs are being met.
