Candidate for |
||||
|
Matt Cesario is a long time Green Tree resident. He and his wife Amy have three daughters. Their oldest, Elizabeth, went to Aiken Elementary, Keystone Oaks Middle School and graduated from Keystone Oaks High School last fall. She is now a freshman at IUP. Her younger sisters Robin (3rd grade) and Katie (Kindergarten) are now at Aiken. Matt is a Stanford University graduate and has a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and a M.S. in Manufacturing Systems Engineering. He has spent the last 15 years working at Alcoa and FedEx in a variety of capital and supply chain planning as well as R&D project management positions. In these roles he has overseen budgets of over $2 million while identifying over $50 million in profit opportunities and $20 million in capital savings. He has also had the opportunity to travel and work extensively throughout much of North America and Europe, as well as Russia, India and Australia. In his spare time, Matt enjoys skiing, golfing and rooting for the Steelers and the Red Sox. He has coached T-ball and softball for the Green Tree Athletic Association for the last four years, and he and Amy have volunteered as leaders in the St. Margaret's Church pre-marriage classes for over ten years. Matt and Amy are founding members of the SOS Coalition. Both volunteered extensively on the election teams for Dan Domalik, Dave Hommrich and Joe Finucan. They continue to attend school board meetings and as key members of the SOS Coalition continue to work towards improving Keystone Oaks School District. Matt looks forward to bringing an analytical, detail oriented mindset to the school board. He is an early adopter of technology, and hopes to increase the district's use of technology to improve its efficiency. He hopes to bring his extensive experience in budget management to the board's broken budget process and a fresh perspective to cost benefit analysis. Most importantly, he believes that open and honest, two way dialogues between the school board and all stakeholders are the only way to improve the district for the benefit of the students. |
