1. What are your qualifications for office? (50 word limit)
No technical experience quite prepares you to become a judge. Legal training is important but life is the best laboratory for judicial preparation. In Hamilton County Municipal Court you see all kinds of situations. It is the judge's task to search for a fair and just resolution.2. What programs do you support to maintain the independence of the judiciary? (100 word limit)
An independent judiciary is absolutely critical to the American system of justice. The Judicial Code of Conduct and the Canons of Ethics are careful guides for judges to follow in maintaining the integrity and independence of the judiciary.3. What specific changes would you like to see in the administration of justice in Hamilton County? (100 word limit)
I would like to see state law changed to give judges more discretion on the issue of when driving suspensions relating to drug offenses might be lessened. Mandatory suspensions in every drug offense may not always be in the public interest or appropriate. Such a proposal has been approved by the Ohio Judicial Conference Criminal Justice Committee.
