1. What services do you believe should be considered basic and essential for the Village?
Communities such as Golf Manor should focus on budgeting to maintain the basic fundamental facilities and their fire, police, and essential services. These things can be skillfully done if the expenditures of the community meet the criteria of establishing a responsible and accountable government as well as answering to the taxpayers. Accomplishing this would assure that Golf Manor is a livable place/community to reside in.2. How would you balance the Village Budget?
By having the leaders/heads of our service departments, such as Police, City Services, and Fire work together on spending that is essential to the community and truly adds value. To do this, the department heads should utilize today's technology, as well as manage taxes and grants as effectively as possible.3. Citizen engagement is important to the health of local government. In what ways do you support citizen engagement?
I am one that is all for citizen engagement. I would love to see our social media brought current. The GM website become more user friendly so that every resident, young or old is able to enjoy it, and make sure that the communication concerning things that are happening in the village are well advertised. I would also continue by participation with our Neighbor to Neighbor group and the Recreation Commission. My interaction in the community will be continual, and I hope to encourage others to participate in the Village as well. I also plan to help our youth and young adults become more engaged as well.
