1. What are your qualifications for office?
Answer from David H. Bezona:
I have taught at every level of public education and in addition, taught at the college level for many years. I value the importance of education and continue to be a student myself by learning an additional foreign language. From my experience of having lived abroad for 12 years, not only do I speak a foreign language fluently but I hold a broader opinion of the importance of obtaining an education.

2. What can be done to improve your school district's results at current funding levels?
Answer from David H. Bezona:
It is important to show the results of student achievement publicly, so that all members of a school district's constituency are made aware of all successes made in the school district. Much attention is made through the athletic endeavors but all achievements should be brought to the attention of the voting public to ensure that funding levels in the form of bond levies that support the school's welfare are passed.
3. What will you do to build consensus in the community in support of your school district?
Answer from David H. Bezona:
I believe it is important to openly present and illustrate, through all possible public avenues, the successes in all fields of a school's existence: science fairs, musical events, athletic programs, academic achievements, and scholarship awards. It is important for a community to be proud of its school and its achievements if they are to support the growing needs of any educational institution.
4. What would you do to advance the concept of "equity in education" in your district?
Answer from David H. Bezona:
Regardless of economic or cultural differences, I believe that a high standard of educational expectations must be established for all students in order to achieve a unified belief in academic success. I also believe that a generally accepted "personal sense of discipline" is necessary for all schools to be able to grow and prosper. Without a central "backbone," no school system can continue to show growth in educational excellence.
