Relocate The Farmer's Market To City Hall/LibraryBy Douglas Henning "賈小德" RadtkeCandidate for Council Member; City of Millbrae | |
This information is provided by the candidate |
A simple no-cost solution to increase parking in downtown Millbrae and alleviate congestion. There is no reason why the Farmer's Market should be in the parking lot on Broadway. Every single business owner has registered multiple complaints with the city to deaf ears. The huge empty parking lot next to City Hall is hardly ever used. This would be a perfect place to move the Farmer's Market. This solution would make both business owners and I believe the Farmer's Market happier. People from out of town could easier access and shop at our Farmer's Market - this would place the Farmer's market closer to residential areas so people could walk from nearby homes to buy fresh produce. This idea is absolutely win/win and city council has ignored my request for it so far. This parking lot could also serve as a way to bring "Off The Grid" to our community with the ever popular food trucks. San Mateo and Redwood City do it already, why can't Millbrae? The city needs to vote for a council member who believes in promoting business - not hurting it. |
