Candidate for
Board Member; Montara Water and Sanitary District

I have served as a member of the Montara Water and Sanitary District Board since 1993. He has lived in Montara since 1985 and participated in many efforts to benefit the coastside communities.

Have represented MWSD on the Sewer Authority MidCoast for 10 years, during the plant expansion project and a number of significant projects that improved the distribution and treatment processes. I represented MWSD on the Special Districts group that interfaces with Lafco and am a member of the region 5 ACWA (Association of California Water Agencies) board of directors which includes members of water agencies in the greater Bay Area (ie EBMUD, SFPUC)

I was MWSD's representative on the acquisition and negotiating committee with RWE during the acquisition of the local water asset from the for profit American Water corporation.

To remain a knowledgeable member of the board, I have made sure to keep up with current technological advances and limitations as they relate to MWSD services in Sewer, Water and Solid Waste disposal. And have remained current on all levels of legislative impacts.

I have served in all position often MWSD board and have a breath of knowledge and experience in special districts, management, finance and negotiations. My background and experience have been and will continue to be an asset in dealing with issues facing special districts and MWSD.
