Candidate for
Board Member; Belmont-Redwood Shores School District

I am a father of two boys, an incoming 6th grader who has previously attended Nesbit, Sandpiper Elementary and now Ralston Middle School, and a 2nd grader at Sandpiper Elementary. My wife Pushpa and I have lived in the community since 2006 when our second son was born, we moved specifically into this community because of its good schools and nice neighborhoods.

I have an engineering degree in Computer Science from India where I was born, I moved to the bay area in 1996 and have since worked in leading technology companies.

I am an Entrepreneur having started multiple software companies for over a decade. I am currently the CEO of Rezopia Inc a next generation software company, and also serve on the board of directors for XYKA Inc and Pricesbolo.com.

Apart from being a technology geek, I am very passionate about running (I have run more than half dozen marathons and bunch of other crazy races). I am a RRCA certified running coach and train first timer marathoners every year.

Over the years, I have also been involved in the BRSSD fundraising task force, Save the Music festivals, Mardi Gras events, and have been a docent for Art-in-Action.

I am also currently co-chairing for the campaign "Measure R" to renew the funding for local schools without raising taxes.

I decided to run for the school board because I believe I can bring a broad perspective that includes increasing efficiency & transparency; more involved community; an understanding of the budgeting process; an ability to be objective and fair and an appreciation of the diverse needs of the BRSSD and community.
