Occupation: Investment Adviser Representative Age: 65
Education and Qualifications:
Crime increased 28% (2012) and Public Safety officers declined 10%. Successive Councils built taller buildings with greater traffic gridlock. Some want to sell 18 acres of City property, including up to 14 acres downtown for more high-density housing and businesses. We must stand up to developers and their well-funded candidates and say enough already.
I am a Sunnyvale homeowner (36 years), youth coach (19), husband, parent, grandparent and community leader. I hold an MBA in Finance, and am a state and federally licensed Investment adviser. My employment includes ten years in Government cost accounting, procedural auditing, budgeting and expense control, 9 as a financial consultant and 18 as an investment adviser and business owner. My pertinent knowledge, expertise, experience and family values are crucial council attributes.
I will not accept donations from developers or unions.
Pensions and management compensation threaten Sunnyvale's financial stability. Sunnyvale has started to address this but a Sunnyvale Pension Reform report shows that by 2032 the City will still owe $200,000,000 (+) of unfunded pension liabilities. I will not accept endorsements from those that created the still unfinished town center and pension muddles. Vote Tap Merrick for a better Sunnyvale. (http://www.TapMerrickforSunnyvale.org)
