Education and Qualifications:
Sunnyvale needs a positive agenda from civic-minded community members who practice civility even when they disagree. Sunnyvale's reputation as a well-run city has earned us a triple-A credit rating and brought in world-class employers such as Nokia, Apple, and Microsoft.

As a software engineer, I understand the needs of high-tech employers. And as a seasoned planning commissioner, I can integrate those needs with the community's vision. I will use my Planning Commission experience to ensure that we create good jobs in Sunnyvale that enhance our quality of life.

Building on this economic base, we can create more parks and walkable neighborhoods. We can realize our vision of a dynamic downtown. We must expand police staffing to combat the recent increase in burglaries.

When my neighborhood objected to a planned medical center, I worked successfully to build consensus around solutions for traffic, parking, and privacy. My ability to find common ground will help defuse conflict in council meetings.
