Mayor; City of Santa Barbara

I am 60 years old and have lived in Santa Barbara for 39 years. I have a BA in studio art with a history minor from UCSB. I earned my teaching credential from the graduate school of education at UCSB as well. My working career has included being a public school teacher, grades 6-12. Owner and operator of a Home Health Care Agency as well as a 6 bed independent living residential home. I am also a journeyman plumber and pipefitter. The types of work that I have done in this field are. Nuclear shutdowns at both Diablo Canyon and San Anofre power plants. Aerospace at Vandenberg AFB on the space shuttle project at Space Launch Complex-6 and on the Titan Projects At Space Launch Complex-4 and 4 east. Medical Gas Brazing at the new Cottage Hospital. High purity piping in labs at UCSB including the Nano Systems Lab. Construction of computer chip manufacturing plant at Intel in Hillsboro Oregon where I was one of only 45 construction employees out of 5,ooo who was allowed to work in the building RP1. The only research and development Intel has in the world. On all jobs I work on we do drug tests and background checks and also psychology testing at nuclear plants
