Board Member; Marin Community College District

Wanden has been serving on the Board of the Marin Community College District for 17 years. She has served three terms as President of the Board of Trustees and in 2004 she co-chaired the successful county-wide $249.5 million facilities bond campaign.

For the past twenty-eight years, Wanden has been practicing law in San Rafael. Her legal practice is focused primarily on representing boards of directors of homeowner associations and in helping individuals, couples and families to develop appropriate estate plans, including guiding them through administration of family trusts.

Wanden frequently presents at law seminars on the subject of the roles and responsibilities of members of a board of directors, including matters related to fiduciary duties, conflicts of interest and community problem-solving. Wanden has also testified in court, qualifying as an expert witness on the Standard of Care for board members.

She has provided her leadership skills to many organizations, including having served as president of the boards of 10,000 Degrees, Marin County Bar Association, Marin County Women Lawyers, Marin Legal Aid, and Planned Parenthood of Marin, Sonoma and Mendocino.
