I grew up in San Rafael, graduated from Terra Linda High School, and went on to earn a Bachelor's Degree in History from UCLA. I have been married for nineteen years to my husband, Doug. Together we have two children, twin girls who are both freshmen at Redwood High School.

I have been a volunteer in the community for many years, serving on the Neil Cummins PTA board for four years, as a Head Room Parent for three years, volunteering for hot lunch service at Neil Cummins and Hall for six years, as well as countless other jobs in the schools while our children have attended. I was a key member of the election committees for the Larkspur-Corte Madera School District's Parcel Tax renewal campaign which was passed in 2009 and the Bond campaign, passed in 2011 which served to fund the rebuilding of a substantial part of Neil Cummins Elementary School this past summer, as well as the building of a new elementary school, The Cove School, which will open next August in Corte Madera. I also volunteered for Search for the Cause and Teens Turning Green.

I have served one full term and one short term on the LCMSD board, which is up this December. My proudest moment as a trustee came this past summer when I had the opportunity to ceremoniously dig the shovel in the dirt to "break ground" on the brand new Cove School in Corte Madera. This was the culmination of many years of discussions and hard work around facilities planning.

In addition to my work as a trustee, I also run a media firm here in Marin, Mogo Marketing and Media. I started the business with an associate thirteen years ago and now run it with my husband. I currently serve as the CFO and Human Resources Director for the company - both very relevant job skills for a trustee to have because reviewing financials and personnel decisions are critical parts of the trustee job.

My most important job, however, is that of being a mom. As a parent of two children in the District, I feel that I have a front row seat as to how the program is being delivered to our students. I think it is extremely important for school boards to include current parents as trustees. Parents get a very real perspective as to what is going on in the classroom, and they are accessible to other parents for input. Balance in a board's membership is very important.

I look forward to continued service to the community!
