Political Philosophy for Kevin T. Haroff
Candidate for |
I am running for office, in part, because I believe it is important to have a city council that represents the entire community, including in particular Larkspur's neighborhoods in Greenbrae and Larkspur Landing. These neighborhoods are among those most affected by the key challenges facing our community at large. I will focus on helping to balance pressures for development against the need to preserve the unique character of our diverse Larkspur and Greenbrae neighborhoods. As a member of the City Council, I will facilitate the multi-jurisdictional processes governing the Highway 101 / Greenbrae Interchange Project and proposed SMART Station Area Plan, to ensure that these projects help meet regional transportation needs without worsening local traffic and congestion. I also will encourage responsible revenue enhancements that support the protection of public safety and improve our deteriorating roads and infrastructure, while promoting efficiencies in managing public services. |
