Jennifer B. Bernabei Professional info I am a licensed insurance agent working in the Castro District in San Francisco, CA. When I am not working, I am usually doing things for or with my family. In addition, I volunteer at my boys' high school and I enjoy being involved in my church. My husband and I have been strong supporters of our community and our local schools. I also served on the Bay Area Discovery Museum for three years and co-chaired The Goblin Jamboree. Work experience Customer Service Representative Traci Hollander's State Farm Office, San Francisco, CA March 2013 - Present As a licensed property, casualty, and life agent, I am working part-time in a customer service position by answering phones, taking claims, managing our client database, and helping clients who have questions or need to submit changes to their policies. Substitute Teacher Tiburon School District 2010/11-2011/12 For two years I substitute taught kindergarten through second grade at Reed Elementary School in Tiburon, CA. I also taught seventh grade math at White Hill Middle School and 5th grade at Del Mar School. I enjoy working with children, and understand the complexities of maintaining control in the classroom. I also saw a variety of mediums used in the classroom and had the opportunity to work with many of them. Larkspur Corte Madera School District Volunteer Fall 2001 - Spring 2012 While my children were in pre-school, I started selling advertising to help fund our district and School Directory, which I did for five years. I was a Neil Cummins PTA representative for two years as the Co-Chair for Head Room Parents. At Hall I was on the PTA for two years as a 5th and 8th grade class representative. I was a SPARK liason in the classroom, a Head Room Parent for three years, a lunch volunteer for seven years, and Lunch Volunteer Coordinator for one year. I also helped with 4th grade science. Levi Strauss & Company 1994-1996 Manager, Workforce Planning - Design and implement U.S. based workforce strategies to streamline employment policies and practices. Recruiter + Assisted Dockers with identifying and screening qualified applicants and extending offers to new hires. Prior to this hired sales support for the U.S. Sales Force throughout the United States. Education University of California, Irvine Irvine, CA M.B.A. Received my MBA while working part-time as a Human Resources Intern at Allergan Pharmaceuticals in Irvine, CA. Michigan State University East Lansing, MI B.S. Engineering Arts. A general engineering degree with an emphasis on business skills, including finance, economics, accounting and marketing. My last two years of school, I co-oped with General Electric in Solon, OH in an engineering capacity. |
