Ricardo Padilla has been an educator for the past 21 years. His education experience has been as a Bilingual Instructional Assistant, ESL Teacher, Summer School Principal, and School Counselor. Currently, Ricardo Padilla is a School Counselor. Ricardo Padilla is a product of the El Monte City School District, attending Rio Vista and Gidley Schools, graduating from Rosemead High School in the El Monte Union High School District and was the first in his family to earn a high school diploma. He continued his studies at Rio Hondo Community College, earning an Associate of Arts Degree. He then earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Human Development from Azusa Pacific University. Ricardo went on to complete a Master of Arts Degree in Education with an emphasis in Educational Leadership from Point Loma University. He holds an ESL Teaching Credential, a Pupil Personnel Services Credential, a Preliminary Administrative Services Credential, and a Dropout Prevention Specialist Certification. Passionate about giving back to his community, he also currently serves as President of the El Monte/South El Monte Emergency Resources Association, Co-coordinator of the AVID college preparedness program at Gidley School, Youth Basketball Coach for ASPIRE after-school program, member of the El Monte City School District Mental Health Collaborative, member of the ASPIRE After-school Advisory Committee, and is a School Site Council member. |
