During my tenure in public office, I was successful in defeating a gambling initiative, preserving historic resources, expanding open space, reopening a public health clinic, installing public art, sound walls along the freeway, envisioning a river conservancy to name a few of my accomplishments.

By far I am the most proud of the degree of public engagement and participation that was achieved during my years in office. This is the crucial element of a democracy, an informed and engaged citizenry.

For me, leadership is the key factor, the ability to move others without coercion. This is what I bring into public office and this is what I offer the residents of District 1, of the Citrus College Board of Trustees; a willingness and desire to create a new and exciting future.

I am running for the seat, so Azusa and Duarte will have meaningful representation and real involvement in the decision making of our local community college.

I will focus on budget and student performance when you elect me November 5th to serve you.
