Just before my 18th Birthday, I joined the United States Marine Corps and spent almost a year (1968-69) in Viet Nam. After coming home, I began working for the United States Postal Service and remained employed for 16 years, until service related injuries to my legs prevented further service.
I began my college career at Humboldt State University in 1986. I earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems and a Masters Degree in Business. I was an Associate Professor for the Computer Information Systems Department until 2002.
Throughout my working life, I have always enjoyed "side work" and there is nothing in residential construction that I have not accomplished. Now retired, I still find time to give out free advice.
Almost 20 years ago, my wife and I decided to buy a home in McKinleyville. We have enjoyed our time here and have great hopes for the future of our community. It is with this hope, both for us and for our children (five)and grandchildren (three), that I am seeking a seat on the Board.
There are important decisions coming and I would like to add my knowledge, experience, and creativity to the mix of ideas that will shape all of our futures
