El Dorado County, CA | November 5, 2013 Election |
Candidate StatementBy Dale E. CocoCandidate for Director; El Dorado Irrigation District; Division 4 | |
This information is provided by the candidate |
I am a retired physician with ample time to devote to the position and a background in problem solving, coupled with extensive knowledge of operations at EID and water issues in the County and State. I have spent my life taking care of people and I want to continue by giving back to the County through serving on the Board of Directors at EID.It's time the EID Directors focused on real solutions to the $370,000,000 debt and increasing rates that hurt our families and businesses. It's time to adopt long term strategies to ensure plentiful, clean water for our future. Debt must be cut, rate increases must stop, and creative ideas provided to produce water for residents, businesses, and the environment. We need leaders with solid management experience and skills to replace EID's business as usual. I'm a physician and former hospital Chief of Staff. I've spent my life helping people and creating solutions to complex problems, like developing innovative programs that saved hundreds of millions of dollars by decreasing costs and increasing efficiency and quality. I can do the same as your EID Director. My wife and I have lived in El Dorado County for 39 years and raised our children here. I have served on several community Boards and committees. I've studied water and its effect on our lives and have ideas on how to help. My health care background, management skills, and track record of creating solutions to problems uniquely qualifies me to stop runaway rate increases while providing plentiful, clean water for us. I would appreciate your vote. http://www.coco4eid.com |
