Why Seek to Serve as Township Commissioner?By Ann L. RappoportCandidate for Commissioner; Township of Cheltenham; Ward 4; Democratic Party | |
This information is provided by the candidate |
Contributing to community is one of my core values. I also agree with our Founders that a democratic republic requires vigilance - we can't sit back and assume others will govern for us. We each do what we can. I'm proud of my career and volunteer accomplishments and awards, and that my background has prepared me for the duties of township commissioner. I'm humbled by the confidence and support of those who have placed me in previous positions of community leadership and service, and who endorse me for this office. In addition to the top priorities mentioned earlier, I would add that I think Cheltenham is an "under-performing" township, not living up to its great potential. I hope to collaborate with others to help make Cheltenham the best it can be. |
