1. As the demographics change in your township, how do you plan to provide for basic services?
|
Answer from Don Silknitter:
As fewer people reside in West Marlborough Township in 2013, than did in 1880, we must continue to fund basic services for fewer people at a higher cost per resident while holding the line on spending. I will work to maintain the rural qualities of the township, seeing that all regulations are equitably enforced, and improve communication with all residents.
Answer from William W. Wylie, Jr.:
In the Census of 1990, 2000 and 2010, Township population was shown to have declined in each case. Basic services for West Marlborough are dominated by the need to maintain our roads and our zoning. While minimizing the tax burden, manage Township finances efficiently so as to be in a position to respond to the needs of residents and maintain the rural nature of our road system.
