Mayor; City of Los Angeles

As Mayor, I will work to create a city of opportunity + a city where anyone who is willing to work hard can realize his or her dreams.

This city has given me a great public education and a job where I make a difference in people's lives every day. I want every Angeleno to have the same chance I did.

To create that city of opportunity, we need to keep LA moving forward with major investments in job creation, transportation, infrastructure and education.

But having a vision isn't enough. And you can't realize the vision for the future without fixing the problems we have now.

I learned from my former boss and mentor Steven Spielberg about the importance of dreaming big and working hard, so those dreams can become reality.

I learned in my family's small business the importance of watching every penny and delivering on the details.

As your Mayor, I will dream big and work my heart out to build a sustainable city with a growing economy, great public schools, a seamless transportation system + and opportunity for all.
