Candidate for
Director to succeed Michael Alifano if recalled; Coastside Fire Protection District

Karen K. Anderson is running to bring the community's voice back to the Coastside Fire Protection District Board of Directors. She will make sure that we keep CAL FIRE on the coastside for the benefit of all of our residents.

Karen has spent her career serving the public and overseeing large projects: she managed a multi-million dollar contract for services for the San Diego County Department of Health, and helped rewrite the Safe Home Guidelines for the Family Court of Hawaii. She also brings years of crisis management experience to the Board, which she earned as both a CPS and APS Social Worker.

Karen is committed to ensuring that the Board is responsive and accountable to their constituents, and encouraging public attendance and input at monthly Board meetings. She will make sure that all decisions are transparent, and made with the community's input taken into consideration.

In addition to her professional successes, Karen is a former Jeopardy! champion and runs Karen's Koastside Kritters, a pet rescue organization.
