Repeal the City's business tax.Repeal the City's business tax which is driving employers out of town, and contributing to the record high unemployment. The business tax has also been a major obstacle to attracting, retaining and growing our local economy. History, as well as a USC study, has shown decresing taxes will increase our tax base,as well as increasing revenue for both, the City and businesses. Steamline the building permit process. Permits shouldn't take two years to obtain. Add additinal police officers so they can suppress gangs and graffiti. With a more safe and cleaned-up city and a business-friendly atmosphere, employers will return, hire and expand. |
