Council Member; City of Los Angeles; District 7

I was born, raised and educated in Los Angeles and I am bi-lingual. I completed a construction apprenticeship program in 1972, as well as completing a construction management program from Cal State Dominguez Hills. I'm a former Certified Construction Inspector for the Division of the State Architect in Sacramento and a Combination Construction Inspector certified by the International Code Council. I am also a Building Inspector with the Governor's Office of Emergency Services, a Licensed General Contractor and I completed EPA Technician training and education with Operating and Maintenance engineers. I obtained a Community Relations and Administration of Justice education from College of the Canyons and received my Peace Officer Standards and Training from Glendale College. I am a former small business owner and currently employed by the Los Angeles Housing Department as a Code Enforcement Investigator for the past 13 years.
