Pennsylvania faces many problems, but they all stem from one central deficit, the mismanagement of resources by our state government.

Pennsylvania does not lack for talent, ingenuity, or natural resources. However, Harrisburg's focus on maximizing the profits of large corporations when study after study has proven that it is small businesses that generate jobs poor management.

Harrisburg's failure to protect our schools by refusing to extract even enough of a fee from natural gas drilling to protect our environment is mismanagement.

It is time we stop allowing our party affiliations to blind our lawmakers from protecting Pennsylvania and that starts with electing representatives who will fight for solutions.

I am running to represent York County's 47th district because my daughter was born here and I want to raise her here. Of all the places in Pennsylvania my family could have chosen to live, we chose Springettsbury Township because it offers a safe environment, great schools, and economic opportunity.

However, in the last few years our schools, our economy and our security has been threatened. Harrisburg has failed time and again to address our most pressing problems, choosing instead to punt these issues to local authorities. It is time for change, time for compromise, and time for solutions. I am running because we need solutions not excuses
