Candidate for
State Senator; Pennsylvania State Senate; District 1

I was born and raised in South Philadelphia. I am the product of a parochial grade school and attended high school at Saint Joseph's Prep. Following high school graduation in 1995, I went to college at Villanova University and graduated with a degree in Business Administration in 1999.

After college, I worked and began law school in the evening at Temple. During law school, the attacks of September 11th occurred and I made the decision to join the United States Army following graduation in 2003.

In the Army, I served as a one of two military prosecutors and an operational law advisor with 10th Mountain Division's 1st Brigade Combat Team in upstate New York. I completed a 1 year tour of duty in Iraq and upon return with my unit, completed my active duty military obligation in 2007. After active duty, I married my wife, Dr. Rita Carabello, a lifelong South Philadelphia resident, and a local family doctor.

In my professional career, I have worked for one of Philadelphia's largest law firms in civil litigation. In 2009, I started my own general practice focused on protecting the right of individuals and families which I continue to maintain during this campaign. I am an adjunct instructor of Business and Legal Studies at Manor College and I am licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

This past November, my wife I were blessed with the birth of our first child, Alfonso Antonino Gambone. We continue to live in South Philadelphia and hope to instill in our son the same values of hard work, determination, respect, and personal responsibility that our parents taught to us.
